All you do is attach it to your tube, and then you do't have to thread the towrope thru your tube tow strap for each use. It includes a heavy Duty Aluminum Quick Connect Tow Point (Patent# 584,869) and is a must if you ever need to disconnect your rope from your tube. It's designed to handle towing up to 4 people on any tube.
