Hi, welcome to another PremiumPowerSports.com product review. Today we're going to be reviewing the Airhead 2.5 PSI electric air pump. I've used this exact pump to blow up tubes hundreds of times anywhere from a one person towable tube to a four person towable tube. It's worked perfectly for me for years. This pump here comes with a six foot long A/C cord. If you're going to be wanting to pump up your tube while you're on the boat, this isn't the pump for you, it won't work. You need to have someplace to plug this in, probably on land, unless you have a converter on your boat to A/C; otherwise you want to be on land to pump up your tube and then go out on your boat and have a good time.
This also comes with three quick connect adapters to fit to most any size towable. It has a small, skinny one, a medium-sized adapter, and the one I most commonly use is this thicker one that simply fits into here, turns and stays in. Now this thicker one, with the Sportsstuff tubes, the nozzle will stay in where you pump it up. It will stay in without having to hold onto it, so that's nice.
I have left this out in the rain, I have left it out in the heat, I have left it out all night long and I've always been able to come back and turn it on. It's been a very hardy, handy air pump and I've never had problems with it. So let's blow up the Sportsstuff Poparazzi three person towable which has a lower chamber for three people and an upper chamber that has an arch that you hold onto which you'll see when once we blow it up. So let's see how long this Airhead 2.5 PSI electric pump takes to blow up a three person towable.
Okay, so let's go ahead and turn on the power switch. Okay, so like I said, I have the larger nozzle attached to it, the Sportsstuff pumps generally have the same plugs. So you can just set it right in here like this, normally I just sit back and watch it pump up, I don't have to hold on to it. So we're going to see how long it takes for this Poparazzi to blow up. Alright, as you can see we're about half way done with the lower chamber, I haven't touched the pump at all. This nice nozzle stays right inside of it and I don't have to touch it, I can just sit back and let it blow itself up.
Okay, so it's been about a minute, maybe a minute and a half, I'm not real sure, we'll find out when I look at the timer, but that's the lower section. It inflated it fairly quickly for a three person tube. I'm going to go ahead and blow up the second chamber. Alright, you can actually see, it's starting to pump it up fairly quickly. I'm going to wait for it to be just a little bit more firmer then I'll unplug it. Looks good! I'll turn it off.
Alright, so you can see that it has easily blown up the Poparazzi towable. I've never had any problems with it, this exact pump right here, is about four or five years old. I have never had any problems with it, I haven't had to buy any new parts for it, and the hose has never ripped on me. As you can see, it's worked well. PremiumPowerSports.com would give this a thumb's up!
